Established in 1986, Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn. Bhd. (Gardenia KL) is a joint venture between QAF Limited, a Singapore listed food group which also operates Gardenia Singapore and Gardenia Philippines, and Padiberas National Berhad of Malaysia.
Our bakeries operate 24/7 to ensure that consumers enjoy fresh Gardenia products every day.
History
Our history dates back to 1969 when American, Horatio Sye Slocumm, armed with 35 years of baking experience from a leading American bakery chain, was sent by the International Executive Service Corporation (IESC) to Malaysia to start a bakery.
Today, Gardenia is Southeast Asia’s leading bread manufacturer. We operate bakeries in Malaysia and produce *53 types of products daily, including a wide range of breads, buns, rolls, cakes, waffles, wraps and other products like spreads and yellow noodles.
Certification and Achievements
2021 marks the 35th anniversary of the first loaf of bread rolling off Gardenia’s production line. There have been many notable achievements over the years.
